Liquor Depot Store Merchandiser

About the Position

As a Merchandiser, you will embody Liquor Depot’s brand by delivering world-class customer service. You will bring to life Liquor Depot’s customer service standards by greeting customers, assisting them in their shopping journey, processing sales, and offering carryout assistance. Working closely with your team, you will help achieve sales, service, and operational goals. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will contribute to creating a sales and service culture that expands our customer base and enhances the shopping experience. The Merchandiser is expected to support fellow teammates and invest in mutual development.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service Excellence: Uphold Liquor Depot’s service standards by warmly welcoming customers, assisting them on the sales floor, and informing them of store specials.

• Merchandising Execution: Ensure all items are fully stocked, correctly priced, and attractively merchandised according to company standards.

• Store Maintenance: Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules to maintain a safe, clean, and organized shopping environment.

• Team Collaboration: Support your fellow team members and assist with tasks as directed by the Store Manager, fostering a positive work atmosphere.

• Sales-Focused Environment: Actively participate in training to develop a sales-focused environment and promote customer engagement.

• Inventory Support: Assist in managing store inventory, pricing signage, displays, and vendor relationships to ensure a seamless shopping experience.

• General Operations: Participate in general store operations, including stocking, cleaning, and maintaining a high standard of store presentation.

What We’re Looking For

• Age Requirement: 21 years or older.

• Education: GED or equivalent work experience preferred.

• Experience: Previous retail experience, with a preference for merchandising experience. Basic understanding of sales and customer service practices.

• Team Player: Strong collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to supporting your team.

• Leadership Qualities: Ability to inspire team members and contribute to a supportive team environment.

• Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Certifications: Must maintain a valid TABC beverage seller’s permit.

Physical Requirements

• Safety Adherence: Strictly follow Liquor Depot’s safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe environment.

• Physical Ability: Ability to lift 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly using proper lifting techniques, stand for 8-10 hours a day, and bend, walk, and climb ladders as necessary.
